Happy Birthday, Benedict and Grandma Jeanne!

We don't want to take away from Mom's post for Grandma Jeanne below, so make sure you don't miss that one too. We did want to wish our little mister a HAPPY 4th BIRHTDAY!!

Benedict had quite a birthday today. He wanted waffles for his birthday so we had waffles this morning and when we were done with that a little surprise came for him in the form of a forklift garbage truck and a compactor garbage truck! This kid was in hog heaven (as were his brothers). These gentlemen were so amazing for coming out on a Saturday to make a four year old's birthday! Kelly had called to see if they had some garbage truck t-shirts and stuff we could buy, but they offered to come out with a truck today. The gentlemen below were so nice and brought a garbage truck as a present for Ben. Ironically, the make of the truck was a "Mack" truck. :)

WOW!!! That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! What a company. That little four year old must have been flying high! If they have an email address would you send it so I can thank them?
There are just too many Ben stories to even pick a favorite or start. He is the sweetest child in the world and so much like Matt that it is a little freaky!! Love you little guy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

That's probably the coolest birthday present a kid could have. Happy 4th, buddy!

All right, enough trash talk on a kid's birthday. Still, that was seriously cool. Happy Birthday, Ben!

Grrrreat birthday present!! Glad everyone enjoyed it. What sweet waste collectors you have in that town. Happy Birthday Ben-o!! One of my favorite Ben stories: this summer when they were here visiting and he came back from Meg's holding a bag with clothes in it saying "These are for you Mom, from Meghan." Grandma Jan stepped in and grabbed the bag and pulled out wet clothes. The following conversation ensues:
Matt- "Ben, why are your clothes wet?"
Ben- "I dunno."
Matt- "Did you wet the bed?"
Ben- "No."
Matt- "Are you sure you didn't wet the bed?"
Ben- "I didn't."
Matt- "Then how did your clothes get wet?"
Ben- "I dunno."
Matt- "It's ok if you did, buddy, we just want to know how your clothes got wet."
Ben- "I mean...Meghan said to go potty and wash my hands and I was washing my hands and the water was warm and I just went."

All said in a very cute voice with the most innocent face. Love you!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN-O!! AND BIG kudos to your parents for coming up with probably the coolest birthday ever! So sweet of those guys to come!!! And bring him a truck! Guess surprising a four-year-old is a nice change of pace than picking up smelly garbage. I'd be in.

I have two favorite memories of Ben:
1st: to add onto Molly's from above.....
Meghan: Ben, why don't you go potty then wash your hands.
Ben: Ok.
.....
Meghan: How you doing Ben?
Ben: I'm peeing! I'm peeing!
Meghan: Good (until I walked in to see him standing at the sink peeing). Oh Ben!
Ben: I washed my hands first.
Meghan: Did you pee standing there?
Ben: (looking down) Yep. I should have peed first.

TOO FUNNY!

Then:
At Christmas, he came down with a horribly migraine/illness. He was so sad and not feeling good but so eternally sweet. We were having pizza for dinner and he was sitting in the big chair to he wouldn't be alone, and holding a bowl in case he threw up. Matt was giving him crackers to see if he could keep them down.
Ben: I want pizza.
Matt: Well bud, let's see if you can keep these crackers down first, ok?
Ben: Ok.
(Then he proceed to throw up....very quietly though.)
Ben: I want pizza.
Matt: Well maybe talk to Uncle Mike and see if he can use his doctor skills to hook up an IV to get you pizza.
Ben: Uncle Mike, can you use your doctor skills to get me some pizza?
Mike: How can I resist that voice!?

It is SO true Ben has the sweetest little voice in the world! Love you Ben!
