Images of the Clearing

Peter sent some photos of the new coffee shop in Portland. Looks like a great place. We saw the shell of a room over Labor Day, so they got a lot done in a short span of time. Now Bri and Peter can devote more attention to the next project -- Sabina is due to arrive in about a week. Meanwhile, B&P plan to hold the grand opening of the Clearing on Friday. If you're in Northwest Portland on Friday evening, stop by. Wish I could be there!

Number 51

Does anyone know what the 51st "property" to enter the United States was? Is there one? Puerto Rico? St. Thomas Islands? Well....someone should figure it out soon because 51 should be arriving sometime next summer!!!!

That's right - Ryan and I are expecting!!!! We found out on Sunday, checked again on Monday, and went to the doctor to get it all confirmed. I'm definitely pregnant!!!! Man - this family is EXPLODING!!

We are very excited, as are the new aunts and uncles (Robbie was so excited he wanted to propose to his girlfriend!). And of course the thrice Grandma Jan had little to say and didn't seem that enthused - YAH RIGHT!

Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this life changing time down here in Kentucky and then through the move back to Montana. And pray also that some jobs find there way to us just like this little one has!

We love you all!!!

Working Stiff

Just had to let everyone know - I am once again gainfully employed. The John Moore children will appreciate this!! I am one of the secretaries at Helena High School. I start tomorrow and already my head is reeling with names, directions, etc. It is a far cry from the 305 students at Shelby Elementary school. The staff that I met all were very positive about the high school. They have a fairly new principal and he has made some changes that are very positive. So, I am once again a school geek!!

Irish I may, Irish I might ...

Nate has already posted about last weekend's doings in South Bend. He was rather cryptic, even for an English major. I'll try to put a little flesh on those bones. Since the game resulted in a 27-14 loss to Boston College, the best memories focus on pre-game activities. It was a full minivan that pulled away from Abe's apartment building in Chicago on Saturday morning.

At the wheel was John Mark (an ND law classmate of Abe's and - by the way - a BC alum), along with Abe, Desiree, Nate, Ann, me, and Amy Green (another ND law-mate). Once on campus, we found a good tailgate crew and met up with Jake, Meghan, and Ryan.

In this shot, they are joined at the far left by Aidan Leonard. He's a son of one of my ND college buds, Dave Leonard (who was also there with his wife, Clare). See a shot of the old folks below. Aidan started ND law this year.

Ticket arrangements meant separate groupings at the game. Nate and I had good seats near the south goal. After the game, we had dinner at Legends near the stadium, then headed home for a late-night return to Chicago. It was great fun. I'll leave it to Abe and Nate to complete the "information that you CANNOT afford to miss."

DVD Release Deadline

"Moore Family Reunion" is already in early release. If you've seen it, you've experienced the compelling drama and evocative music that make this DVD a family classic.

You can now re-live the excitement of the reunion in the privacy of your own living room while wearing your family tee-shirt.

If you haven't ordered your copy yet, put it on your honey-do list today. Be sure to get copies for your kids, too, because this is an heirloom that they will appreciate later.

The ordering deadline of October 24th is fast approaching! Get those orders in to Susie today!

You can email Susie at susmark524@sbcglobal.net

Hip Happenings

Hey there lovely lovely family!
Thought that we would update you on our lives - which are tending more toward the crazy side of things every day. We are opening The Clearing Cafe on Monday (hopefully) and are getting things all together and ready for that. The spa is doing well - just a lot of work and we have a new manager which always makes life more interesting. Our house is coming along - thank you John and Ann and we hope to have it all close to the way we want it by the time Sabina is born. We can hardly wait to meet her!
Looking forward to seeing everyone for the holidays and I love the cousin gift exchange and calendar set up - what a great family!
Here is a picture of my prego belly almost 4 weeks ago! Amazingly I am actually bigger - I know that it doesn't look possible. ha.

Here is the moment you all have been waiting for - the cousin Christmas list!!! The first name listed is the Giver and the second is the Receiver or Receivee. So here goes:

If you have any questions, either email me or post it under comments. Have fun and Happy Sunday!!
Love you all

Christmas Craziness Continues

Okay, it sounds like the cousins would like to draw names and do the calendar. I agree that doing families would be great, but there are only six families - Rika/Mark and family; Hannah/Jerry and family; Bri/Peter and bebe; Matt/Kelly and boys; Meg/Ryan; and, Randa/Nate and Emma. If you six would like to exchange families, we can do that and throw the rest of the names in the hat. If you want to do Randa's idea of a fun little something on special days, then I will do individuals. Unless you six want to do individuals, I will draw the six families and then the rest of the cousins. You have until Friday and then the drawing will begin. Thank you for responding to the interference on the part of the aunts/uncles. Maybe next year we will just do this at Ben and Katie's wedding!!
Have a great day. I will mail some money to you, Hannah, but would you put Gramma and me down for calendars, please??? Thank you!
Love
