Cell Numbers

Hello,

This post is on Grandma Jeanne's behalf. She would like to have a list of everyone's cell phone numbers, seeing as this is the primary number for most of us. If you could post your cell phone(s) number(s) on the blog, she can periodically check it to see who has put their's on here and write it down. Thanks.

the end

Hey wonderful family of mine,

Just wanted to let everyone that actually looks at this site know that our indoor track season has come to a close. Finally!!! We ended up placing third at our conference meet, which is the highest placing ever that a women's team has accomplished. That is awesome!! I am only four weeks away from my first outdoor meet and I can't wait!! Love you all, hope all is well!

3 of the 4

Hey all!! Here is a picture of three of the four cool Buyske girls hanging out! It was before our winter break when Kelly, Will, and her mom came up to visit shortly. That little guy continues to get cuter. I hope you all are having a great month of February. We are getting snow and cold, guess that ground hog knows what he is talking about. Anyway, have a great weekend everyone! Miss you all!!

Update from Ashland

Well it's a February in Ashland which means blowing snow, end of basketball season, and the homestretch to the end of the school year. I survived my first semester as a teacher in the real world. It has been an amazing learning experience with a huge curve! I am excited for next year (which will probably be my last one in Ashland at St. Labre). What comes next? Who knows!? More adventures! I had my observations from my advisors at UGF yesterday. Despite freaking out a bit and not sleeping at all the night before, things went well. The girls basketball game went into double overtime but we lost. Now I'm just trying to survive today after another night of little sleep! Pray for safe travels tonight as I head to Bozeman!
It was great to see some of you over Christmas! I miss those I didn't get to see! I spent time in Shelby, Great Falls, and Bozeman/Belgrade. We had a big gathering of old counselors from Legendary at Ryan's house for New Years. It was AWESOME!!!!
The next month is actually a weekend of traveling for me. I'm heading to Bozeman tonight, to and from Missoula tomorrow (my friend in singing in the opera at UM), then back here. Then we have a long weekend with plans still unknown. Then I go back to Bozeman, to Helena, to Seeley Lake to watch Ryan run a 1/2 marathon (prayers!), then back to Bozeman and then back to school Monday morning! The weekend after that I go back to Bozeman to be with Ryan at his Army ROTC Dining Out. I get to dress up all fancy and stuff. Heck ya! Then I have a bit of break and things settle down. Sort of - I'm one of the junior advisors so that means we get Prom which is April 1st. Let the insanity begin with that! Then there's testing and Easter and the spring Pow-Wow and then school ends! Sad! I will be back in Great Falls for the summer finishing up some classes at UGF and helping orientate the new LUMEN recruits! It looks like they are going to try and place at least one, maybe two, teachers here next year so I'll have an actual community as part of this program! All in all - that's it! Things are going well. I hope you are all doing equally as fine! I miss seeing you guys, but love that we can keep in touch! Take care!

News From 59718

Hey everyone. I just got home from my only class on Friday. It got cancled so I am in high spirits. So news... well... the trip to Seattle a couple weeks ago was a blast. It was something I'll remember forever. We stayed at Maurika's and Mark's house in Renton and it was awesome to get to visit with them. I had a nerf fight with Bridger, and let me tell you, he has the biggest Nerf gun you will ever see. It's a Nerf Bazooka. Wow. As for the big city, Seattle was a great time. We went to Pike's Market, Niketown, Gameworks, and Hooters. I don't know if you all have seen the Bud Light commercials with the Bud Light Daredevil, but if you have, my buddy and I got our picture taken with Ted Fergunson, The Bud Light Daredevil at Hooters. That was the highlite of the night for us. The game on Sunday was unreal. I'd never been to an NFL game and it exceded all expectations. It was unbelievably loud in Qwest Field. The best part was the 'Hawks dominated the Panthers and the atmosphere downtown that night was electric. Seattle was partying like the Seahawks had just won the Super Bowl. Of course, everyone knows how that played out. They was robbed. Oh well, it was a great trip and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. School is going alright, I'm getting into the swing of things. Other than that I have no new news I don't think. Hope everyone is doing great and I hope to see you all soon. Love you all.

Oh ... whoa ... domino!

Here's another picture from Christmas -- the game was dominos, the champion was Jeanine.

Hey, it's been an eventful week. I had some work to do in Havre and Shelby, so I spent Monday evening with Jan and Marc and Joey. When I got to Jan's house, I learned about Mom's car crash in Billings. So, we called Mom and we called Tom and we got the scoop. Oo-poo-pea-doop. Everyone's okay but the machines. Mom's visit to the doctor revealed no injuries -- just a bit banged up. Tom and Mary, thanks for taking care of things on Sunday. Anyway, at the Buyske home, I was treated to Marc's cooking and Jan's company. Well, Marc and Joey's company, too. We had a real good visit after a real good dinner. Back in Helena, a local band staged a Food Share benefit Wednesday evening at the Staggering Ox -- they pulled in quite a few people, a couple hundred pounds of food, and even some cash. That was fun. I hope everyone is doing well and will soon post news on this page (aside from Hannah, Mary, and Jen -- who have led the way.)

Just saying hi

Hey all!!

I hope everyone is do well in their respective places. Things in Sioux Falls are cooking! We have begun our second semester. I have a full load, but am enjoying the classes, so that is good. Molly is assistant stage managing a play that will happen in March, and then at the end of April she will be in a play...so she is keeping pretty busy with all that! We only have 2 more weeks of the indoor season, and then the fun begins! We have our first outdoor meet the first weekend in April, I couldn't be more excited. We will be down in Houston, TX competing at Rice University. I also found out that I have qualified for the USA Outdoor National meet in Indianapolis this summer, so that is pretty exciting as well. Other than that, I have the life of a college student, little sleep, homework, and lots of fun!!! I hope this post finds you all well!! Can't wait till I can see some of you again!! Love you!!

God Bless,
Jen

News from the Wingys (the GF Wingys!)

I haven't been very faithful in checking this site...I don't even have a good excuse! Anyway, it was fun to read all the newer news and comments. I am not sure what to think of Hannah thinking of me now that she is 30. I guess that is not too bad considering I just had a birthday so I am well past that mark! I wasn't too keen on turning 30 but now that I am past 40, 30 looks good!
We had a good superbowl Sunday, except for going to pick up Grandma. She had an accident in Billings but wanted to come home Sunday, so Tom drove her part way and we went to pick her up to get her home. She was a bit shook up but uninjured so that is a good thing. She was back at work on Monday! Incredible lady! So when we got home, at half time, Ben and Nick had all the munchies ready and we got to see part of the Stones, so that was cool. I was rooting for Seattle so I was a bit bummed but the rest of the clan was rooting for the Steelers. Go figure!
I also had parent conferences last week so that made for really long days at school. It is always heartening to hear positive comments about your program at school or even your teaching style.
All the boys are back in school and settling in their respective residences. Ben and Nick's place in Missoula isn't too bad and they seem to be getting along fine. It helps that they both have pretty demanding schedules this semester. We are planning a trip to Bozeman to see Jake and check out his place, hopefully over President's day weekend.
Hope all are having a pleasant winter. The weather here is pretty mild so I have been enjoying it. Love ya all!

The Drama of the Goats

It began your typical animal-sitting gig; feed a small herd of goats, playful puppy, and testy cat- sounds like fun. Little did we know. Day one went off without a hitch, animals were happy as were the Philpots. Day two however, began as I was throwing the goat feed into the fenced off pen and I chanced to hear a “mehhh”ing that sounded smaller, quieter, need I say, younger. I glanced into the stable to see sweet young pregnant Annabelle was no longer pregnant. Sweet young Annabelle that “definitely won’t have her babies til we get back” did in fact, deliver a perfect set of twins. One on its feet, the other lying in the corner. Ok, so I freaked out but in a very methodical way. We warmed the horizontal little girl in a towel and called the vet as I didn’t have Jim’s cell number handy. Then I proceeded to get her walking, get both goats nursing and after consulting Beryl, even get their umbilical cords all cleaned up. Yes, they are little beauties; a girl and a boy. I’m thoroughly attached as we spent the greater part of the day together and they are never to be sold. Beryl says they have perfect ears. Aw, my babies, of course they have perfect ears. I now feel qualified to open my own veterinary clinic or run a large scale ranching operation. See all the excitement we have down in Utah? Some of ya’ll Montanans need to come on down and join in the fun. Anyway, thought you’d enjoy the adventure. Hannah
