Happy New Year!

Here is a photo of most of the Wingerter clan on Christmas Eve. Note the wonderful haircut on Ben!! We had a great holiday season with lots of visits from family and way too much food. We are looking forward to 2007 and all the new editions to the Moore family to come, especially our grandchild! Anyway, Happy New Year to one and all! Enjoy your evening and remember to be careful out there! Love you all!

Happy Birthday, Hannah!

I hope y'all know that Thursday, December 28, is Hannah's um-somethingth birthday. And I hope you'll join me in wishing her all the very best. She's so great!

I've been reminiscing a bit about the time when Hannah was born. We were living in Great Falls, just a month or so before we moved to Boulder. She was our first Lamaze baby and the third child to arrive in 31 months, so she arrived fairly quickly. While still lying on the delivery table, Kit turned to me and said, "It's not always that easy."

On this birthday, Hannah's pretty close to delivering her fourth baby -- a little girl who will join Mikayla, Carter, and Kesiah in the Philpot family. Hooray for all!

Holiday happenings

We had a great gathering at Maurika's home in Renton, near Seattle. After arriving Saturday and settling in, we went out for dinner and the ballet -- Rileigh was dancing in The Nutcracker. The production was good and Rileigh danced well. Relatives in the audience included Kit, Briana and Peter, Ann and I. Here are a few photos from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Enjoy.

Back in Helena, Abe paid a brief visit before heading off to a New Year's Ski Weekend with friends.

By the way, here's Abe's new address ...

Hope you're all having great holiday fun and will enjoy all the best fortune in 2007.

Moore over ...

We got the annual Christmas card from Jim and Kay Moore, and Kay made note of the family blog that Aurie started in May. I spent quite a bit of time looking through it this evening ... very informative and fun! Now, I'm not normally a competitive person (honest!), but you descendants of John F. Moore should know that those other Moores are really outshining us. Do we want that? Gosh ... I don't know ... maybe. Wait a minute -- no!

So, c'mon youse guys. Let's get some more posts, with news and photos. I'll start with this bit -- here's a photo of the family gathering a couple weeks back at Kit's house in Kaysville, Utah. All but Hannah's husband Jerry and Kit's husband Greg made the pose. Check the caption for clarity.

(front row) Bridger (8, Maurika), Rileigh (12, Maurika), Mikayla (7, Hannah); (second row) Carter (4, Hannah), Ann Waickman (John), Kesiah (2, Hannah), Kit Jackson, John; (back row) Mark Wells (Maurika), Maurika, Truman (8 months, Maurika), Peter Borten (Briana), Briana, Abe, Hannah (due with her fourth in February)

Now then, have a great Christmas and New Year! We're headed to Maurika's house near Seattle. Bri and Peter will come up from Portland, too. Hope to see news of your holidays posted here soon.
