Happy Belated Anniversary to My Lovely Wife and Best Friend

Last Thursday, June 21, Mary and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary.  Yup, you are right - we were at a baseball game, and not one of our own - a Voyagers game.  Amazing how fast 32 years can fly by.  I would not change one minute of one day.  Thank you to all you who have made our lives so special, particularly our children.  Miranda, Ben, Jake, Nick, Sam, and Maddie - you our our most precious gifts, thank you for the past 32 years.  Mary - starting from two 19 year olds who barely knew each other to 50 somethings who can still act like kids, thank you for putting up with me and for loving me.  I am so lucky and so blessed!!!!   Jim

Happy 4th Birthday, Tyson

This little super hero is 4 years old today!  Hard to believe that you are already that big, Tyson!  We remember being at the hospital when you were born and that just seems like months ago.  You start pre-school in the fall, and yes buddy, I will miss you when you go to pre-school!!  It is so fun to be able to see you and take you places and have you over for sleep overs!  You are a fun little man!  We love you bunches!!  Grampa and Gramma

Happy 20th, Johnny and Annie!

I have looked and looked and cannot find a picture of the two of you together in my online pictures! That is sad and we need to remedy that! Happy anniversary to two people that are very special and so right for each other! Hope you had a GREAT dinner together and that your August trip to Iceland is everything you want! Love you guys!

Happy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy 31st birthday (for the 2nd time) to the most AMAZING Mom! I hope you enjoy your day and maybe toss back a little bit o' Baileys to help cap off the celebration. You truly are an amazing woman and a role model for so many people. I sure love you and wish I could be there to help you celebrate. I hope this is a night off for you from Game On and you're not going to make everyone suffer through a chicken and quinoa meal. :) LOVE YOU!

Wedding Hotel Room Reminder!!!

Hello familia, I'm doing my sister a solid and reminding all of you that hotel rooms at the Crown Plaza are still open for the "Moore-Haraden Wedding" until this Thursday, June 21st. The Crown has been off their game and have told people there are no rooms left but that is false. If you have ANY issues, call Shannon, my dad, or me and let us know.

One month left til the big day. We are excited to have you all in the Magic City soon! Contrary to John's past claims, it's a fun town!

Love you all and see ya soon!

Today, Diz and I had our 20 week ultrasound. This was the big one - where we found out if it was a mascio or femina. We told the ultrasound tech not to tell us, but instead to write down the sex and put it in a sealed envelope. We then took the envelope to a baby store, picked out a boy and a girl outfit, and asked the lady behind the counter to wrap up one or the other, depending on what was in the envelope. Diz and I then went out to a wonderful birthday dinner, and after dessert, we opened up the box to learn this great news .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. (Pressure's off, Nate. The Moore name lives on.)

The family picnic is coming

Bill and I are in charge of the family picnic this year. Miranda has gratiously agreed to help me with this.
Since everyone is going to be there, it is going to be the Sunday after Shannon and Birch's wedding.
It is at Rose park which is less than a block from Nate's house. We have reserved the shelter there from 3:00-10:00. If no one has reserved the earlier time we can use it before 3:00. There are several things to do at the park: A swimming pool with slides, a playground, baseball fields and horseshoe pits. Of course everyone will bring a frisbee and Tom will bring his ringers. The city wants to charge us $25.00 more to have beer there. So I'm asking, do we want to do that or do you want to go to Nate's to drink beer. Just let me know your opinion.
Bill and I will furnish fried chicked. The first generation (mom/grandma) gets off scot free. I'd like the second generation to bring salads or side dishes. I'd like the third generation to bring desserts and snacks. Everyone will bring what they want to drink.
Should be a fun time, so get ready to boogie!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Abe!

It's Abe's birthday today -- his first birthday as a prospective father, and probably his last birthday with relative freedom. Nice that it falls on a Sunday. I hope he celebrates well and enjoys the day thoroughly.

A week of graduations~

The last few weeks have been crazy at the Wingerter house...even crazier than usual!  Madison graduated from 8th grade at Holy Spirit which is a big deal at our school.  Miranda and the kids came up for the celebration.  We also had Sam's graduation party that weekend with a great visit from Ben.  Later in the week, Sam was one of the speakers at GFHS baccalaureate service.  He did a great job, even though the mike didn't work right away.  His graduation was on Saturday, June 1 with the all night party afterward.  Jim's mom and dad came to spend the weekend with us which was a great plus!  Sharon is such an awesome help!
All in all a great end of May/beginning of June for all us Wingys!  Lots of new journeys beginning!!
