The House is Painted!

We had quite the work crew this past weekend to paint Mom/Gramma's house. Tommy and Jimmy started on Friday afternoon and did all of the prep work - taking all the stuff off and taping. They even got two sides primed. Marc and I showed up Saturday morning and started in on the priming. Connie came down and the five of us hit it hard. We stopped for lunch and then started up again. The initial color that Gramma picked turned out to be too light, so Tommy and Jimmy headed out to Home Depot to darken it up a bit. We started getting the garage ready to paint while they were gone. We finished all of the house on Saturday except the side facing the alley. We had done that in the initial color and it had to dry. We all headed up to Mary and Jim's for dinner that night and had a great time. Randa, Emma and Nate were in town, so it was a houseful. Johnny was playing at Bert and Ernie's that night, so some of us went down to listen. Tommy, Jimmy and Johnny started in on Sunday morning and after Mass Marc, Mary and I joined them. We got it all done plus the garage. Now when you look at the pictures, you may think it looks the same, but not so. It looks clean and lighter!! We had a great time and we owe Tommy and Jimmy a huge thank you as they spent the most time on it. Gramma seems to really like it and that is all that counts!
