Last weekend was paintin' time at the Morris household. To fulfill a rather rash birthday promise to Connie, the five sibs (and a couple of the less stable spouses) joined in a two-day flurry of tape, brushes, and rollers.
These first few photos pose the question, "Is it possible to paint with your mouth closed?" Apparently not.
Ann and Connie measure for picture placement. This face-off between Bill and Connie isn't as bad as it looks. Finally, Tom and Marc work on the fine art of mitering the molding.

I definitely have the BEST family in the world. The walls look marvelous--now there still are messes that need to be cleaned up but will get to them as I can. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the wonderful birthday present!!!!!!!!!

Connie... put down the hammer! :)
It looks great!
Connie - I'm sure MOM apologizes for the messes. When I talked to her, it seemed she was not quite as handy with a brush or roller as she made herself out to be! :)

I think the Moores work best when the mouths are open. That is how we think best. Meg, we all made messes on the orange carpet - that helps make the decision to pull it out!! The work is done and we sibs had a GREAT time together. The next project is to get that carpet out and build stairs out to the garage. It was a blast and thanks to all for coming!!
