Another Happy 30th to Joey!

I hated to post on top of Michael's cute video, but I had to share the picture that one of Joey's co-workers took of him on Friday.  Joey did have a three day celebration heading into his 30's.  I sent a box full of decorations to his "next door neighbor" and she was so sweet and decorated his room after he left on Thursday and picked up the cake that Tommy had ordered at Costco.  We went down on Saturday and took him out to dinner and then to breakfast today and opened cards.  Hopefully he enjoyed his day!  He does just look so cute in this picture!  Love you Joey!!!

K. Loved the video by Mike (and the laughter)! And one of my favorite things about Joey is his song. Abe burned it on a CD for me for Christmas and it is now one of my faves! I think we should post that on the blog as well. He looks good in a birthday hat AND he can sing. :) Happy Birthday, Joey.

As I was lying in bed tonight, I was trying to think of my favorite memory of Joey. I had to jump on and write these down before I forgot. At first I thought about the time he tied a bandana around his head and marched down the stairs holding his Nerf bow-and-arrow and humming some sort of death march when I had a friend over. Then I thought about him picking Jen up over his head and throwing her on the couch and doing the same to me but gently tossing me onto the couch. Then I thought about the times we would rake up all the leaves in the yard and play WWF wrestling (where again Joey went easier on me). But then I thought of the countless hours of 3 person football we would play with Joey as all-time quarterback. He would draw out these plays on his palm and I would have no clue what he was saying so he'd tell me to "just run". I got my butt kicked a lot by Jen. Finally I thought of him being my escort for Junior Miss. Even though he didn't seem too enthused about it, I knew he was glad to do it. It's funny the things we don't realize, but looking back on it, you were always there for us and always willing to play with us. You were, and still are, an amazing older brother and we're lucky to have you as part of this family. I hope you had a wonderful birthday! I love you bro!
