Thank you to everyone for their well wishes - I finally had a chance to look on the family blog! It is amazing how much time goes into taking care of and adoring a new being! Sabina Isabella is doing fabulously - she is eating heartily and has gained back all of her birth weight and then some. We have taken off two weeks to just hang out with Sabina and it has been magical. Kit was here until the last Friday and was a huge help in keeping our house "German Clean", cooking, and helping us aclimate to being new parents.
After giving birth I have a whole new respect for all of the women in our family who have given birth (and many did it again!!) and then given so much of themselves to their children. I think that if you ever question whether your parents love(d) you - after you have a child of your own, I have realized that there is no way that you would still be alive and well if they didn't just adore you to the ends of the earth. It is an amazing thing to be a mother - I can't wait for every day! Peter is doing wonderfully, and loving being a daddy. Thank you for all of your love and support.

Again, congratulations on such a beautiful baby! We are very anxious to meet her. I am sorry it did not work out to hook up with the Buyskes in Portland. They would have been in awe of her beauty! We hope that you have a chance to hit Montana soon and I know being in Helena, we have a shot of seeing you. Being a parent is the neatest thing in the world and being a grandparent makes it all worth while!!!
Hey, I've been touting the photos among friends and colleagues. Everyone agrees that Sabina is a beautiful baby. Is there some kind of contest you can enter her in? In all fairness, I can't say she has won the grandbaby contest -- there are too many great grandchildren in this family! Nonetheless, she is wonderful.
Very beautiful baby! We got our first "picture" today with our ultrasound. Crazy to think that that 2 inch being grows into the ultimate miracle!
