Happy birthday, Jim!

Today is Jim Wingys birthday and I think he has had a pretty good day! Lots of fun treats and good food before beginning game on tomorrow. Happy day, Jim! I love you tons...

Hey, y'all. Ann and I returned today from a visit with the Philpot phamily. We had a wonderful time and a great visit. Part of the adventure was the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point south of Salt Lake City. Above all, I'm reporting that the family is fine and doing well, as you can see in the first photo. Keep in mind that this Friday is Kesiah's birthday -- we hope it's great as she turns eight! (See third photo.)

News

Hello Family

I was able to see Abe and Desiree in Austin this past weekend and share in the excitement of their new surprise. Another blessing to this awesome family.

My plan was to give my news first and their news second in the ole bad news followed by good news trick. Unfortunately Abe had the quick hand and it didn't work. My news is that Marybeth and I are breaking up. This has been a few months in the making. We just weren't happy anymore.

On a happier note I am almost done with my first year of residency. It has been crazy busy and I have been learning a ton. I'm pretty sure I have picked the right field.

I miss all of you and I'm trying really hard to work my schedule out to get home for the Event of Summer 2012. That's what I have started calling Shannon and Birch's big day.

News from Chicago

Well, the news from Chicago is that there will be a tiny person joining Jim in the great State of Maryland (assuming Birch doesn't get cold feet) around October 30th. Diz and I could not be more excited. She's not really showing yet, but I am!

Boston Baked Boisen

Well, I ran the Boston Marathon along with 23,000 (4,000 opted not to run due to the record breaking heat) other "touched" runners and actually was able to finish despite spending 15 minutes in a first aid station (pic) at mile 23 cooling down from the first stages of heat exhaustion. Thanks to all that wished me well, I read all your texts on the subway ride (pic) back to the hotel and I got a little choked up. What a great family!

I am trying to post the result page for Jimmy's first Boston Marathon but for some reason it won't save to the post. Just to let you all know Jimmy finished in 4:14:18! Couldn't be prouder of you, little bro! We tracked you the entire time online and watched you run! It was amazing! Just wish we knew where you were staying so that we could send ice your way :) Hope you have some pictures and that you get in touch with us soon!! I will keep trying to upload this result page!

Better late than never: Happy birthday, John

I'm a day late, but not a dollar short! John's 59th birthday was yesterday and I hope he had a very happy day. One more year to enjoy those 50's John, then it's on to the great 60's.

Happy Birthday #5!

I am way late on posting this, but whatevs! Emma turned 5 on April 7th and got to celebrate at Gramma and Grampa's house in Great Falls. So we had a great weekend with birthday stuff Saturday and Easter Sunday. Happy Spring!

Congratulations to Joey!

We wanted to share some pictures and the news that Joey was confirmed at Easter Vigil Mass with Jeanine as his sponsor. It was a beautiful celebration and was the culmination of many classes and commitment on Joey's part as a sponsor to an RCIA candidate. We celebrated Easter Sunday with the Billings Moores and had a GREAT time! It was a fantastic Easter weekend! Thank you to Tommy and Jeanine for your hospitality!

Today is CJ's birthday and we had a terrific dinner celebration: Mom, John and Ann, Tom, Jim, Fr. Dick and all us Wingys. Much fun was had by all! Happy day, Connie! We love you~

Happy Anniversary

Just a quick Happy 31st Anniversary shoutout to my parents. They'll be celebrating starting on Thursday down in warm Phoenix, AZ while taking in some Spring Training and maybe some NCAA Basketball. Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! You guys are the best.

He got some great shots of sea life and fun adventures with the underwater camera he received from Santa. It is a testament to the adventurous kid that Carter is and how he really does keep the party alive in this house. Happy Birthday Buddy!

Prom Night, 2012

Sam's prom was last night and what a night it was...Arabian Night that is. The theme of this year's prom was Arabian Nights so of course Sam dressed the part!

We had some of Sam's friends for dinner and then they were off to the dance. What a fun night for them all!

Show Time!

Valentine's Day Boxes

The kids are having Valentines Day Box competitions in their classes so we had to rev up a little creativity this year. Carter went with the toilet that sings a little monkey song when you flush it (thanks to his electrician father). Mikayla has her cupcake frosted with a little spackle. And Kesiah has her giant Ipod to rock out to.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

From the beaches of Corpus Christi to the 17th and 18th tee at Sawgrass, Dad has been everywhere for his kids and we all love him for it. We wish him a wonderful birthday and an excellent year that will hopeful culminate in a spectacular trip to Ireland.

Busy Wingy Weekend...

This past weekend was a crazy busy one for the G.F. Wingys. First off Sam was in Missoula for the Thespian Festival with a play he did at GFHS called Private Wars. This is a photo of the cast. They had a fantastic weekend in Missoula. The play made it to the National competition and Sam and two others were awarded outstanding actor awards. Not too shabby for the first time in a production! He had a great time doing this play and is looking forward to the next chance to perform...
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...or at least back at the home front, Holy Spirit School had a spaghetti dinner and cake auction. Madison made a cake for the auction and this is what it looked like. It was really a fun experience and it made $40 for the school. That is always a great thing!

Yesterday (yeah I know, this is belated) was my padre's 53rd birthday. Had a great birthday lunch at Taco Treat - Billings (actually a very good non-GF Taco Treat), dinner at Carino's Italian, and some cake and ice cream back at the house. So here's a Happy Birthday to a great dad and fun co-worker... hope your 54th year is amazing. Love ya.
