News from Chicago

Well, the news from Chicago is that there will be a tiny person joining Jim in the great State of Maryland (assuming Birch doesn't get cold feet) around October 30th. Diz and I could not be more excited. She's not really showing yet, but I am!

I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it! I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!!!

Ok, singing aside, I am so stoked for you two. You are going to be amazing parents. I am also super excited that I will be out in Chicago! I better start brushing up on my babysitting skills! Love you!

Seriously - Don't let Molly babysit unless you want your child exposed to the following:

1. Ability to be dramatic at any moment, any location, at any time...no matter what.

2. An uncanny ability to fake cry.

3. A fearlessness that sends mother's heart to their throats and creates independence one can only hope for (or dread).

4. A humor that is much too sophisticated for them.

5. The ability to spin a tale so ridiculous you have to wonder where their imagination developed from.

6. A best friend that is not only their best friend but their side kick...ala Robin to Batman. (a recent development)

7. Unadulterated laughing pretty much the entire babysitting time.

8. A person unafraid of any bodily fluid a baby will throw at them - and she's had them all courtesy of Charlie and Tyson.

Just saying....think about it carefully.

Thanks for all the sweet wishes and prayers! What a wonderful family. We are thrilled and can't wait for our little one to meet all of you.

So much love,

Abe & Diz

And Meg - Thanks for the thorough reference on behalf of Molly's babysitting skills. Most of those seem like very positive things . . . ! xoxo
