Boston Baked Boisen

Well, I ran the Boston Marathon along with 23,000 (4,000 opted not to run due to the record breaking heat) other "touched" runners and actually was able to finish despite spending 15 minutes in a first aid station (pic) at mile 23 cooling down from the first stages of heat exhaustion. Thanks to all that wished me well, I read all your texts on the subway ride (pic) back to the hotel and I got a little choked up. What a great family!

Jim, I cannot say enough what an amazing accomplishment that is!! I am so impressed and glad that you were able to persevere despite the heat. Wasn't it something like 90 degrees at the start? Congrats!!

You are such a stud, little bro! It was so great tracking (or should I say stalking) you during your race. I am glad that it was a stop at a first aid station and not croaking that accounted for the leap in your time! You are amazing and we are all so proud of you! See you this weekend!

Way to go, Jim. Glad you were able to make it through the heat. I'm very proud of my "baby brother".

Congrats Jimmy! I still remember when I was talking to you after I ran Bloomsday and you were convinced you would never run over 5 miles....now with 2 marathons under your belt I am starting to think that was a lie :)

Jim, you are an animal. Thanks for posting the pictures. I've never known anyone who has run Boston, much less as their second marathon of all time. I'm also glad to hear that your Boston time was good enough to qualify you for the Great Falls Icebreaker this weekend, the ultimate elite race. You impress the hell out of me.

Jim - That's amazing! Awesome job! We have a runner friend who prided himself on his ability to run long distances and even he didn't want to tackle the Boston Marathon - but he worked it and thus has a jacket :) Good on ya!

Congrats Jim! It was so fun "watching" you run. The little blue guy on the map kept me quite entertained. You should be super proud of yourself. I don't even like to run...unless it's towards food. Kudos uncle! Love ya!
