It has been 65 years since that rather hastily organized wedding took place. And yet it endured.
At least until 25 years ago, when Dad passed away. Regardless of that circumstance, though, we're all grateful for the time they had together. And I'm doubly grateful for the fine upbringing they provided. Happy 65th, Mom!

Well said, John. What a great family.
Thank you for posting this Johnny. There were a fine looking couple and raised some pretty decent kiddos!
Definitely well said. What an amazing family and I am blessed to be a part of it
Thanks for posting this John. We have one of the most remarkable families that I have ever seen and it started with these two wonderful people a whole 65 years ago. This includes 6 kids, 18 grandkids, 15 great grandkids and 13 in-laws whom we have welcomed to the family.

Happy Anniversary Grandma! What an amazing thing!! An incredible matriarch for a strange, but wonderful, blessed family!! :)
HA. I agree with Meghan on the "strange, but wonderful, family" part. Happy 65th Grandma and Grandpa! You did have great kids, but man do you have amazing grandchildren! ;) We are all definitely blessed!! Much love!
This is the first time I have had a chance to look at the blog for awhile...and what a great picture to see! I had Mom on my mind all day on Thursday...I am glad John actually did something about that!
I thank God everyday for the gift of this family and especially Mom. Love you all...

From an outsider..
Yes, you do have an amazing family. And it is a blessing that John and Jeanne got together 65 years ago. Mom loved your parents/grandparents. Your Dad, John, was like a brother to Mother. Cheers. Colleen
