Happy Birthday Maurika!!!

Yay! So even though I didn't call to send along birthday wishes until 10:00 tonight, I am redeeming myself by getting the birthday blog post!
So happy birthday to Rika who is a whole lot of wonderful in a whole lot of ways. Brilliant, Fun, an Amazing Mom, a Splendid sister - I am lucky to know such a fabulous person. I hope your day was a reflection of all that you are. :)
Little known fact about Rika - she and I had the exact same dream at the exact same time once. True. Not April Foolin ya! So on top of everything else, she is partially psychic. I think that we should get all interesting facts we have about Rika listed her as a birthday tribute! Love u Rika!

YAY! Happy birthday to a fabulous woman! I'm sure everyone knows this tidbit but Rika and I worked at the same establishment in Helena (at different times, of course)-- The Donut Hole. Apparently when she worked there they were supposed to wear hats. Rika refused to wear hers and would take it off when her boss (and mine when I was working there. He must really like donuts) would leave. He caught her without it on and she was fired. Ouch! It's ok, donuts weren't really your thing Rika!!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Um...I remember when Rika and Hannah babysat molly and i at gramma's one time (don't ask me where everyone else was or why we were left with those two) and she and hannah barged into the twin room early on saturday morning and started jumping on our beds to wake us up for cartoons. i think they were more excited to watch them than we were.

Happy Birthday to the very first Moore kid and the first of the cousins, born on the first of April. A little known fact about Rika is that I once watched her kill a gopher with her bare hands.
See, that's an April Fools joke a day late. Truth: she used to have a crush on Kirk Cameron and has such a ridiculous sweet tooth that she hides candy around the house!

Quick clarification: You have to realize that we didn't really get to watch tv when we were kids. So you can blame your hippy uncle for our over exuberance when Saturday morning cartoons were on the table. And I am sure that there was a long and intense deliberation on who should attend to you two most prized children that fateful morning. And of course, after all options were thoroughly examined, the two most responsible, capable, and enthusiastic cousins were chosen for your tender care.

Happy Belated Birthday Maurika.
My favorite memory is when you were a baby I wheeled you down in that fancy blue velvet baby carriage to show you off to the St. Gerard's nuns. What a proud 10 year old uncle.

Happy birthday about three days late, but nonetheless heartfelt!! My favorite Rika memory is being in South Bend for her first birthday! We celebrated it up pretty big (your mom was in the same shape with Abe). You were a cutie patootie and still are. Oh, maybe it is beautiful at this age!!!

Jen and Molly - My memory was going to be of that weekend, too. What a coincidence!!! I remember we went shopping for deals at Salvation Army (our first trip there) and Rika found a crazy pair of shorts. And it was on the way home that the lights magically changed with a clap. But does any of us remember why Rika and Hannah had to watch us in the first place??

Oh - the most important part - HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY RIKA! You are one rootin', tootin' awesome cuz!

Happy Birthday Maurika! I knew it would be a week long celebration - it couldn't be any other way for such an amazing lady!
Little known fact about Maurika: On her first car she took her windshield wiper fluid sprayers and bent them to point out. I remember driving with her and having her spray a driver in the car next to us that was smoking. Apparently being born on April Fools, did have some long term affects.
Love you!
