Carter in Cooperstown

First, I wanted to say thanks to the many of you who donated to Carter's baseball team in helping them get to Cooperstown, New York for the baseball tournament. It really was a once in a lifetime opportunity and the coolest thing we have ever done as a family. It was amazing! Second, I thought I would share his Cooperstown video being that it might get inducted into the Hall of Fame in that very same town. I need to preface it with a bit of an explanation just so you will get the full value of what happens while you watch. In the beginning of the video, he is just a foot away from a homerun- so fun! But shortly thereafter, his little pickle ends up in an unintentional tackle. Really, he did not mean to mow down that kid that was standing right in the middle of the baseline. But to make matters memorable, that little throwdown caused his ejection from that game AND the following two games - intense, I know! And though it was difficult to be kicked out of the final games of the tournament, he now considers it a pretty great story. And to make it all the more ironic - in the last tournament of the summer in Utah, he was PLAYING third base and a kid slid into him and broke his leg. He is already on his second cast being that he already wore through his first one. Anyway, thanks again to everyone and can't wait to see you all in just a few short weeks!! Atta boy, Carter! I am glad you were able to enjoy the experience. Sorry you weren't able to finish out the tourney, but getting thrown out is pretty BA. Hope your leg heals up!

Hey, Carter. I hope your (second) cast isn't bothering you too much during the hot weather. Cool video of Cooperstown. Too bad you got booted. Baseball isn't a contact sport – sometimes it's a collision sport! By the way, did the kid who broke your leg get kicked out of that game?

My question is what happened to the other kid? He didn't seemed to be moving.

The other kid was fine. He hopped up in a minute. :)
And the kid that broke Carter's leg was not ejected but carter did hold onto the ball and he was out. :)
