35 Years Later...

35 years ago today 2 people made the commitment to spend the rest of their lives together. And what a life it has been! 6 children, 5 grandchildren (and counting...), wonderful friends, and a big, loving extended family. What more could someone ask for? Well, maybe a big enough house to fit everyone. ;) We had a really great party for Mom and Dad on Saturday, so thanks again to Mary for letting us have it at her house and thanks to everyone who could make it. Happy 35th Anniversary Mom and Dad!! You are an amazing couple who really exemplify a true bond with someone. Alright, enough with the mushy stuff. I hope you both have a wonderful day!! Tons of love!!

There was one summer where I got to hang out for about a week with your family and I just remember how much fun it was to be with your whole crew. And how FUNNY Uncle Mark was! And did you ever know that there was a fairly long spell of my childhood where I thought that this Mark and Kit's brother Mark were the same person? He lived in Africa for so long and we had never met him so I just assummed.... I used to tell people that my dad and his sister married siblings. Funny, eh?

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!! We can't wait to see you guys in a couple weeks. The boys are going to be SOOOOO excited.

You two are an amazing couple that Kelly and I look to a lot as an example of how to live out the vocation. You guys can take a lot of pride in what we kids have become and the people we have brought into the family. You obviously did something right for the family to be getting bigger, but yet somehow getting tighter.

Love you guys and we miss you!

Love,
Matt, Kelly and the boys

Thank you for all of the good wishes! Our wonderful children threw the best party in the whole world for us on Saturday night! Mary was so generous in letting them use the yard and even made three delicious salads. Thank you, Mary!! We had friends from Shelby, Helena, Kalispell and Ronan come which was so fun. We are so blest! God has been very good to us. We are looking forward to the family picnic and seeing all of you! Love!

Well this is belated but not less heartfelt - CONGRATULATIONS on 35 wonderful years. I absolutely LOVE having you two as role models for how marriage should be - long lasting against all odds, challenging, loving, annoying, smitten, knowing what the other will do without realizing it, reading each other's thoughts, and keeping it together through it all - and raising wonderful kids!

One of the things I love are all the stories of the "early" years - especially the fire tower!!!

Congratulations Mom and Dad!
