D-RAY's B-DAY!

How fun!  I get to christen the site with Desiree's first FAMILY birthday post on the Moore blog.  What an honor!  okokok... my favorite Desiree memory is watching her be with her friends, family and now our family.  Des is always so generous and kind, makes me laugh until I cry with her wit - and truly is the perfect balance of realism and compassion with my favorite brother.  I love so much having her as a sister!  Happy Birthday D!

My favorite DRay memory is being in Chicago one time and having her guess the height of the Sears Tower. I will keep the guess confidential.

Des is definitely one of the coolest people I know. One of my favorite memories is of the first time I met her...well saw her. It was at Mark and Rika's 4th of July bash of '07 and we walked in to the backyard and there was Dee jumping on a trampoline doing flips. It was AWESOME! And of course, her doing my hair for Meghan's wedding. Loved that! Happy day Des!

Wow...I think Molls and I have a weird connection because that is the same exact memory I was thinking of! I am so happy that D is part of the family..she definitely has one of those personalities that makes it difficult to be anything but happy around her! Hope your birthday was good!

I loved seeing Desiree at her wedding - what great friendships she has, how she laughs with her sister until we were ALL in tears... I also remember the time she came to Utah with Abe for a skiing trip and we went up to Park City to visit them. Kaitlyn loved swimming with her and would throw herself off the edge of the pool to Desiree with no regard to personal safety. Des remarked she was our little Greg Louganis and still calls her "little fish". She is the kind of person that just fits and I am glad we get to have her fit with our family.

So...super late. But, Happy Birthday again Dez. I really just wanted to take the opportunity to say that my favorite memory of Desiree is the first time I met her:
She and Abe came to Portland. They got off the plane, came to my house, and Desiree went upstairs (it was about 6pm) and changed into her pajamas. I thought "Yep. That's my new sister" and I have loved every minute of it. We are so lucky to have you in our family.
love you
