I note that we have yet to actually resolve the issue of how family gifts will be handled this year. I suppose that Grandma should make the ultimate decision. Has she weighed in on this yet?
Well, I had lunch with Grandma today. She said she has purposely stayed out of the debate. It seemed clear to me that most of us agreed on good ol' choice. Post your Christmas list here, including either wished for items or preferred charities -- or both.
If someone chooses to post only items, that's fine. I don't think there will be any heavy "judgement" of him or her as "greedy." As Grandma said today, "I think there's a little kid in each of us that likes to open presents. I do."
So ... I think we're set. Pretty soon we'll have to discuss travel plans, if any. john
