Happy 4th Birthday to Isaac's Twin - Leo!

Happy 4th birthday Isaac Asher!

Today Isaac is four years old!  We had a fun day starting with blueberry pancakes and ending with Nachos for dinner.  In the middle, Grandpa took Isaac to get a haircut at Barber Jim's.  Now he has a four year old haircut too!

This birthday was definitely a PLANES theme, even though we haven't seen the movie yet.  He thought the toys were awesome.

Kesiah's Broken Arm

A little news from Utah. Yesterday, Kesiah was riding down a little hill on her scooter with a friend. She hit a bump, flew over the top and broke her arm. Was even more of an adventure being that she had to go have the bone re-set at the hospital. She was super brave and didn't even cry when they put her IV in. Advice to all you parents out there; don't stay in the room when bones are getting re-set, kinda' disturbing even when the kids are out. She is doing better today, getting back to her happy and wonderful self.

Well, to close out this busy-birthday month, Annie Waickman is turning 60! We celebrated quietly -- breakfast at our favorite spot (which is closing today), and dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant. Of course, Jan festooned the home with balloons, cards, and danger tape, so there was a bit of notoriety. Little Annie Ohio is going great guns, as usual, and is celebrating 60 with cheer.

It's Miranda Jeanne Wingerter Meunier's 33rd Birthday!

We had a nice celebration of Miranda's birthday just a day early.  The Meuniers came to the Falls to take the plane outta here and go to ... Spain then France for a nice 10 year anniversary celebration.  So on Miranda's 33rd birthday they were boarding a plane in NY at 9:30 to head to southern Spain.  And best of all, Emma and Isaac are with us for the duration!  Happy Birthday Miranda and have an awesome trip!

Today is Nate's 28th birthday!  Please join me in wishing him a very happy day.  This year has been quite the year for Nate with his big move to California and managing a larger office.  So far the Nor Cal lifestyle seems to be agreeing with him.  We are so proud of you, brother, and all you have accomplished in the last year! Hope you get to have a little celebration in Portland today.  We can't wait to see you in a little over a week!!

News from Kuwait

The Governor of Montana was in Kuwait this week visiting the troops.  Here is a pretty good picture of Nick and Steve Bullock.

And this is right after Independence Day.  Nick has been busy which is good.  It is really hot of course and he is working on a way to stay a bit cooler when in the back of the helicopter.  He loves letters!!  So if you have a minute, you could drop him a line.

Double-Up for Ryan

I had to post on top of Mom's birthday wishes just because I felt these pics deserved to be shared.  Ryan is an amazing father and husband.  He has spent his summer doing football camps, the usual guard drills, and staying home with our two rambunctious kids.  But he's found good ways of burning off energy....

Like dumping buckets of water on them,

Or taking them to baseball games,

Or teaching them the art of spraying others with a hose. 

And at the end of the day, he still lets his biggest kicker lay in bed with him despite knowledge he won't be sleeping very much

Happy FIRST Anniversary

It's hard to believe, but it's been one year since Shannon's and Birch's amazing wedding in Billings.  Yesterday, Sunday, July 21st marked the first year of marriage for the wonderful couple.  It's crazy to think that a year and a day ago we were partying it up at the Depot and celebrating their big day with them.  I remember it took me 3 Red Bulls to keep up with that dance party.

A lot has happened in their first year: a new teaching position for Birch, a move to Sheridan on the horizon, two trips to Mexico (one as a honeymoon and the other as a first anniversary trip), and countless jaunts to Montana for weekends with friends and family.

Please help me in congratulating them on one year and wishing them the best for all the years to come.  Most of you know this as almost everyone on this site has had a sister get married, but it's awesome to see your sister so happy and to see her enjoy spending each day with her best friend... even if he is from the Heights.

Congrats, Shannon and Birch - here's to many, many more!  Love you both.

Happy 69th birthday, Bill

Well we go from the youngest 4th generation to the second youngest 3rd generation to the oldest 2nd generation in less than a week. That's right, Bill is celebrating his 69th birthday today. I'm sure it will be rather low key as most of his birthdays have been, but he will enjoy watching the British Open and then
I will take him out to dinner.

Samuel Jesse is 20 years old today!  He has had an eventful year...finishing high school, finishing baseball, going to basic training, finishing AT as a combat medic, working his first REAL job this summer...and getting ready for many new adventures at MSU in the fall.  He gets to spend his 20th birthday in Butte for guard drill.
