189th off to Texas

Nick and company left Montana heading to Ft. Hood Texas for 6ish weeks of training before heading to Kuwait.  So sad to see him leaving for 12 months~
Thank you to John, Connie, Molly, Shane and Bradie who came out to see him off.  Pretty amazing seeing Nick pilot a blackhawk!
God speed Nick!  Take care and come home safely.  Love you tons~

Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic

Maria and I went early to Ann Morrison park to see some hot air balloon action Sunday morning. 50 balloons in all but only 30 took off because of some boxed winds aloft. Quite a site though.

Moorefest 2019

It was another fun year in Ennis for the Moore family get together.  Other than a few evening rainstorms the event went off without a hitch.  There were lots of fourth-generation kids running all over the place, so that was fun to see.  We missed those of you who couldn't make it this year!

New Job, New City, New Me

Maria and I were in Twin Falls and the tattoo bug bit me and I decided what the hell, time for a change.

Owen "Ozzie" Nick Wingerter

Our second boy came into the world about a week earlier than expected on Friday. He was 8lb 13 oz - about a pound smaller than Dex. Deanne and Owen did amazing and we are home now resting and recovering. Both of us are off work and planning the big move to Denver around mid-June. We are feeling very blessed.

Maria’s Surgery

Maria’s in surgery right now to remove a nasty bunion and some major reconstruction on some of her toes.  She’s been in for 4 hours so far.  She’ll be off work for 6 weeks.  Hoping all goes well. 

Saturday Night Live!

The biennial revue and farce, "Saturday Night Live in Helena," opened its four-night run on Wednesday.  It started almost 40 years ago, spoofing the legislature and other political issues. This is the second show I've been part of.  It's a bunch of fun.

Butte in Boise

Celebrated St. Patrick's Day Butte style in downtown Boise complete with pasties, pork chop sandwiches, Sheppard's pie and bagpipers. 

 

 

Rock and Roll All Night...

We just wrapped up a nice Chicago visit from Jim and Maria, capped off with a Kiss concert that was full of fire, blood and loud guitars.   Jim and Maria came here from a week exploring Texas and had a whirlwind day in Chicago - including Millenium Park, the Art Institute, a matinee of Hamilton, and finally this killer rock show.  Fun times!

The Weekend of Moore Fun 2019

It's time to make this happen...AGAIN!!  If your calendars are not already marked, block out 12-14 July for the second annual Weekend of Moore Fun!  We have the entire Riverside Motel in Ennis blocked out for the weekend.

Unlike last year, we will not be doing a SignUp Genius.  The Moore Siblings are providing meals for Friday night and Saturday night.  Lunch consisting of deli sandwich makings, chips, and fruit will be provided for Saturday -- please feel free to add to the food for lunch (dietary needs or just because), but don't worry about bringing anything for the dinners unless specifically asked.  Breakfasts will be on your own like we did last year.

Below is a layout of the rooms, a room description, and room assignments.  We are going to do it a little different this year.  I will not be assigning rooms, but rather you can pick from whatever rooms are available.  The Buyske Clan is arriving on Wednesday, 10 July for a little family time before the weekend.  The only other rooms that would not be available before Friday afternoon are rooms 8, 9, and 11.

The Riverside Motel can be contacted at (406-682-4240).  Anna or Bethany will be happy to help you secure a reservation.  I will work with Anna to keep this list up to date, but everyone could help by commenting when you make a reservation.

McCall Winter Carnival

Had a great time in McCall, ID the last few days viewing the various snow sculptures.  Pictured is one at the summit of Brundage Ski Resort.  It's weird riding a chairlift in the middle of winter without skis. 

Newest Buyske

We are excited to announce the arrival of Zachariah John Buyske to the family.  He arrived on December 21st (almost 2 weeks early) and weighing 8lbs and 15oz.  He and Melissa were able to be discharged and home for Christmas and both are doing very well. 

Happy Birthday Henry!

It's hard to believe it's been four years since we welcomed Henry into this world, but he turned four today.  He is a very active boy who loves to read, do puzzles, play with his brother (most of the time), and ride his bike.  We love you so much, Henry!  Happy Birthday!
