Connie had a birthday lunch with Mom, Mary and me. We gathered at Boston's and had a celebratory cake. We hope that you had a special day, CJ. You certainly are!! Love you!

Who's going to be 55?

Congratulations Schulte family!

We would like to introduce the family to the newest member - Charlotte (Charlie) AnnMarie Schulte born on Monday, March 15th at 10:25 p.m. weighing in at 7lbs. 10.9 oz and 19 1/2" long. She has lots of dark hair and is gorgeous. Mama and baby are doing great. Meg got to the hospital at 9:30 and 55 minutes later there was a baby! It was magical to watch!

Greetings from Great Falls

Hello- so i'll go ahead and follow suit with a little update from my life. I think I will give you updates in reverse cronological order so anyone who already knows the "old news" of my life can just stop reading at anytime. So for those of you curious or bored enough to continue reading, I will carry on: So I have been looking into the teaching business of late, flirting with a masters program at UGF starting this summer. It's the same program that Meghan graduated from and is currently volunteering for. Looking forward to it, should be enlightening and applicable for future career opportunities! I am working full-time as a Census Bureau update/leave progress crew leader for the next few weeks. I have been incredibly busy sending people out to nowhere, Montana to "update" our address lists and "leave" the same questionnaires that each of you will be filling out and mailing back shortly, if you have not already done so. It has been challenging and great for building experience. Yippee grown up stuff! I start my last undergraduate class this January- a 6 credit religious studies online independent study class through the U. So far it has been really interesting, but I confess I have fallen a bit behind as of late. I'll catch up when those kids go off for spring break! Right before Christmas, I bid farewell to Missoula and moved back in with the parents here in Great Falls. It has been pretty awesome so far as most of my old high school friends have made their ways back to Great Falls also, which has the makings of one of the best slow pitch softball teams Great Falls has ever seen!

I think that pretty much sums it up for now... hope all has been well in your respective corners of the globe. I hope to see most of you soon, say this summer or shortly thereafter. I think there is quite a bit going on as the weather heats up, 30th birthdays and 30th wedding anniversaries (i wonder if the two are related...) so there will be no shortage of funage if you find yourselves in Montana! Saludos Desde Texas

Thought I'd drop a line from Southern Texas. Life's good down here. Working hard and having some fun on the side. I'm really enjoying San Antonio and all the stuff there is to do here. The Mexican food is great and the country music is better. We went to a Texas Country show at Gruene (pronounce green) Hall last night in Gruene, Texas which is America's Oldest Dance Hall. It was a great time.

Also, while we are talking about states, I made my yearly pilgramige to my state of Missouri. How many of you can say they do that? Ben and I made the trek from Texas and met some friends and, of course, Jacob in St. Louis for Mardi Gras festivities. It was a great time. Maybe too good of a time. Well, so good of a time that I gave up alcohol for Lent. While us Moores escaped without injury, Ben's high school buddy Bo had a fall that sent him to the ER for 5 hours while Jake, Ben and I waited in the waiting room. To pass the time we pretended we were the cast of Scrubs.

Michigan!

Hey gang! Well, I am currently in North Platte, NE in my second week back on tour. I'm surprised how easily and quickly things came back to me (the show, directing the kids, casting, etc.). There is still a long road ahead, and a lot of towns, before May when I'm done, but that gives me some time to figure out my next move. I realized there hasn't been much sharing of interesting facts about our states. I figured I would share my findings. I am Michigan and I don't know if any of you watched the ice dancing portion of the Olympics (I watched part of the first night and thought it was totally lame, but then I was stuck in a motel room in South Sioux City, NE with nothing better to do and it turned out to be pretty neat) but the silver medalists--Meryl Davis and Charlie White--attend school at the University of Michigan and train in Michigan alongside gold medalists Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. So I have gold AND silver medalists from my state. I think that makes me pretty high up there. Too bad Davis and White attend U of Michigan. Anyhoo, I'm sure like 99.9% of you probably don't care about that little tidbit, but I just thought I would throw it out there since I don't really have anything interesting going on in my life except waiting to be a new aunt! Anyone else have any interesting facts? I hope to see you all this summer!! Much love!

Paint Job at Gramma's Old House!

I just wanted to share with those of you who may not get to see Gramma's house again the paint job that was done on it. It turned out beautifully! The picture of the door and wall is where the mail slot used to be with the insulation stuffed in it. He did a great job of patching it. If you look closely you may see the white light plates that Tommy went around and put up. I did not get out to the garage to take pictures, but he also put up sheet rock to cover the holes and the spray paint. It looks pretty cool! Now hopefully someone will want to buy it. Gramma said the rugs turned out great. We hope to do an open house this weekend! Keep your fingers crossed that it sells quickly!

Schulte Update

Well, since Uncle John was so adamant with his "ad" to get us posting on the blog, I figured I'd give a little update of what us Schultes have been up to while Ty was busy reading his "Cars" books in his "Cars" tent (can you say obsession?).

Anyway - the baby is due in about 2 weeks and the midwife says he/she will probably be on time or a little late. We are definitely ready for him/her to come although I don't think Tyson is quite prepared for how his world will be disrupted! He doesn't quite like all the baby things that are appearing.

Our puppy will probably adjust a little better. She is growing like a tumbleweed and her and Ty are getting along great. Both are devious little devils, though!

We are really quite the homebodies - no big trips, no big plans, no big anything except this baby! Guess we'll have to post again when he/she decides to introduce themselves to us all! Meanwhile - enjoy the couple pics of the shenanigans at the Schulte household!

Visit To Stumptown

Hey everyone. Desiree and I just returned from a long weekend in Portland where we got to hang out with Bri, Peter and Sabina for a few days! We also got to see the new airport spa (as seen in the picture here), ski on Mount Hood (Sabina even took a lesson and is quite talented) and got to prepare and enjoy a delicious taco dinner with cousin Mike! Here are a few pictures of our lovely time. When we left, Diz and I got a foot bath and massage at the airport and it was awesome. I don't know what I enjoyed more, getting a nice foot massage or watching the customers wander into the new spa one by one. It makes a brother darn proud, I'll tell you.

I also had a chance to talk to John in Great Falls about the big move weekend (see post below). We can't wait to see Gramma's new place and we're very very happy for her!

The Big Move

It has taken a while to get some photos up. I put an album called "Mom's Moving Day" on Snapfish (use the "Moore Family Photos" link). Thanks to Jimmy for grabbing the camera and taking some of the pix. Of the previews here, the first two photos involve packing and moving stuff, the latter two show parts of the new condo. It was great to have everyone pitch in and help.

There's a lot more to do to close out the old house and get it ready for market -- the big sale is next weekend. And, of course, there are some details to wrap up in settling into the new place. Just think, now we have a whole new focus for Mother's Day, birthday, and Christmas!

Happy Birthday, Dad! It's been a busy couple of weeks for ya traveling to South Dakota and around Montana, but glad you're home to celebrate with Mom and Shannon (and Joey). I hope you have a great day and thank you for everything that you do. We love you. For your present, I'll let you win a game of cribbage the next time we play.

Two Big Occasions!

Well with the big move this past weekend, we were all tied up and didn't get a Happy Birthday out there to Mary! So, Mary on this your last year in your 40's, enjoy, celebrate, have fun!! I am so glad that we were all there to celebrate with you! Our prayers are with you!

Connie and Bill, a big shout out to you on this your 35th anniversary! What a ride! Can't believe that it was that long ago that we were freezing our patooties off in those dresses. What a time. Our best to you both and our prayers are always with you!

Last call from Tokyo

DATELINE: Yahoo Cafe @ Shinigawa Prince Hotel. We'll soon be heading home, although I'd certainly be willing to stay longer. Yesterday, we took the 'bullet train' (1st photo) south to Odawara, a coastal city (2nd photo). We toured the museum at a restored feudal castle (3rd photo) and enjoyed hiking around town.

The fourth photo is my work station for the past five nights. The last show went very well, both in terms of performance and audience. The last photo is most of the Johnny Rawls Band, minus the sax player. The man seated in the middle is Freddie, an ex-pat trying to make his way in the Japanese music business. He was our emcee one night.

All in all, it has been a great adventure. See ya back in the USA.

Tokyo affords wide range of sights, sounds, and impressions. Here are only a few. The first picture is a street market near the bay. Following that is a Shintu temple; I thought I was taking photos inside, but apparently didn't. The third photo is an old shogun garden on Tokyo Bay. The last image is from the grounds of the Imperial Palace. I'll probably have one more post before departing for the USA.

Report from the Orient

Well, we have one performance under our collective belt. I'd rate it 7.5 on a scale of 10. Four more to go, and they look like fun. I plan to explore the neighborhood today, just poke around on foot a bit. We have a self-styled tour planned for tomorrow -- more on that later. Here's a view of Mt.
