Graduations & White Coat!
Well, we now have six children with college degrees; two children by marriage with college degrees; two daughters (one by marriage) with masters and two working on a law degree and a doctorate (optometry)! I tell you what - we are proud!! The latest to graduate are Joey and Molly with Michael getting his white coat in the middle. We were fortunate enough to be able to attend all three and decided to share in our pride. Congratulations to you Joey, Molly and Michael. We love you!

Building update
I talked with Bobbi Jo Fowlie today. She is open to the idea of putting together an event. I pitched Jim's idea of doing it in conjunction with the Book Festival (Aug. 1), along with Jim (the younger)'s idea of a street dance. Both seem to work, but nothing is set yet.
She said Historical Preservation Society has $6,000 in the bank. She doesn't know how much it will take to fix the roof and the porch to "historical" standards.
That's the news so far.

FAMILY PICNIC 2009 - OFFICIAL POST
OK, OK. Here's Jeanine's and my thought on this. There is a wedding (Papich) that I think Nate, Jake, and maybe Ben will be attending on August 8 in Billings. If the picnic were held Sunday, August 9 at Jumping Creek, they might be able to make it. So, that is our vote. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Family Picnic 2009!
So I hate to be THAT guy, but I was enjoying a phone conversation from someone very dear to me on Thursday evening around 11 pm (i think). Anyhow, this particular person brought up the question of family picnic and when/where it will be held this summer. As I thought, I realized that there has been, to date, no Blog posts pertaining to picnic persons, places, and things. I figured, since I now have a week off before returning to school, that I would start to urge this summer's picnic authorities to begin that conversation.
Hope all is well, semester went great, things are good, life is beautiful.

Matt and Kelly's House
They have lived there since February, but the Florida house has seemed like a mythical place because there are no pictures available....until now! If you want to see Matt and Kelly's sweet digs, just go to this site and check it out. I am visiting for a little bit, and snapped some photos as evidence. It is about 85 degrees with 60% humidity today, so that is awesome! A little nicer than the weather we have been having in Helena lately, but of course as soon as I leave it's going to get nice. Enjoy it while you can, because I am back in MT on the 20th! Anyhoo, here is the site to see the pics. I will post some more of my photos in the future.

Union League Hall
Hey, sibs & cuzzes & niecephews -- I read an interesting article recently about the Union League of America Hall. It was built in Diamond City, now sits in White Sulphur Springs. It's in need of restoration, and I'm game to help raise some money.
Here's the rough sketch: I'd like to organize some WSS folks and some Montana Moores to put together an event to raise funds. I'm willing to take the lead on the groundwork if I can get some pledges of energy from all you fine relatives.
Post your comments, folks, and let's see if we have some interest among the Sons and Daughters of the Confederacy. (Read the article to grasp the irony.) Johnny

Happy Moms' Day!
Hey Mama(s)! Hope you all have a wonderful Moms' Day! I know we have some top shelf matriarchs in this family so God bless you all and thank you so much for all of the band-aids, emergency room visits, talkin'-to's, talkin'-with's, "clean your room!"s, rides around town, baseball/football/basketball games, birthday/Christmas presents, rides around the state, death glares, night prayers, but - most importantly - all of the hugs and love! You are the greatest and that is a fact!
Love you all - especially you, MOM!

Happy 28th & College Graduation, Joey!
Sorry to post on top of Des' birthday post, but another occasion has sprung up! It is Joey's 28th birthday today and tomorrow he graduates from Carroll College. Let's give a little WHOOT over that one! We hope that you have a great birthday, Joey and that you enjoy your graduation day. We are so proud of you and the man you have grown to be! We love you tons! Dad and Mom
Happy Birthday Diz
Yesterday was Desiree's birthday and she was really happy to receive so many birthday wishes from everyone in the family. To celebrate, we had a nice dinner last night and on Tuesday we're going to see Springsteen. BRUUUUUCE!
We also just finished up a major home redecoration/renovation project, and we're eager to have guests come stay with us. Why not plan a trip to Chicago?

News from Helena
It was a nice weekend in Helena. Maurika and the kids came over for a sleep-over, so on Saturday, we gathered the clan. Jan and Marc and Joey represented the Buyskes. Some of the Wingerters dropped by after the ball game, namely Mary and Jim and Sam and Madison and Miranda and Emma.
The Wingys couldn't stay for dinner, but after dinner the Schultes dropped by -- Meghan and Ryan and Tyson. (I feel like I'm writing the social column for the Harlowton Times.) We also had a nice gathering for Brunch on Sunday, featuring the local Buyskes and the Schultes.
Today was moving day for the Schultes, so congratulations on their new home! I trust they'll post a couple pictures soon.

Kesiah's Birthday, a bit belated
What are you doing after graduation?
I can finally answer that dumb question. Honestly, everyone knows no one likes being asked that question, so either find a better way to phrase it or just don't ask. Anyways, today I made a verbal commitment to be one of the directors for a touring children's company show. One of our directors here set up a company with his wife that resembles Missoula Children's Theatre. They have a show that they tour around South Dakota and some of the neighboring states. I will be starting in September and taking it on the road through May. I am very excited and can't believe I made an actual decision of what to do with my life for a year! I feel so like an adult! :) I am just really excited that I get to be doing something in my major, something I love, and getting paid for it! Especially in these hard economic times. Only 2 1/2 weeks left until I graduate!! Premature congrats to Joey! I can't wait to see you all soon!!
