HAPPY (LATE) BIRTHDAY HANNAH BELLE!!!

To my sister who is lookin' so dang fabulous at 32, with four rockin' kids - eyes so blue.
Busy raising a family, and keeping it real
Still finds time to start her own philpot flower business and make home cooked meals.
Doing good in the hospice world and active in her faith,
Even assembled a family calendar and kept us all straight.
Your smile is infectious, and you make me believe
That there's absolutely nothing you cannot achieve.
We all love you so much, and on your birthday,
I hope that absolutely everything was going your way.

Have a great year, love you!!! m

Holiday Salutations from the Buyskes in Washington

We thought we should jump on the wagon of posting our holiday family picture, so hear you go. Dinner in La Conner, Washington at the local brewpub proved to be an entertaining time for all. Just ask Kelly about her "sampler." Hope everyone is having a happy holiday season and we wish all of you well in the upcoming new year.

#400

Happy New Year from up north. No pics to throw up but nice to have my name down in the books with #400. Nice work keeping this going.....

Nate.....did you really count all of the posts?

Christmas Greetings from the Moores

Christmas in Great Falls was a blast! Together with Grandma, Jim and Beryl and all the Wingerters we had a great celebration. I even had the good fortune to spend 3 straight nights on the Wingerters' couch. Emma's baptism was great, Christmas Eve dinner was delicious (lasagna), and Christmas dinner was just as great (prime rib). It sounds as though everyone had a blast. Happy New Year!

(PS. This is the 399th post on this blog. That's a ton of posts since this thing has started!)

Sorry to post on top of the Shulte's post...

Schulte's Move Up!

Hello Family!

1st - sorry to post right on top of Bri's but I knew I would forget and Mom keeps bugging me to get pictures up.

2nd - I agree with her that if we post addresses and phone numbers, there should be some way to keep it private.

3rd - We finally were able to move to a different apartment!! It's on the first floor (much nicer than the 5th) and there's a real kitchen. We even have nicer furniture. Christmas in Kentucky will be ten times nicer now....but we will still miss family.
The move happened when Ryan was out in the field. He was driving around in Humvees running missions and a friend and I were moving stuff (A LOT) in the pouring rain! Don't worry - I didn't carry anything too heavy. The desk clerk made sure of that.

So that's the news from here. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!

Love,
Ry, Meg and Baby

I've never admitted to being a huge fan of Carroll College football, but I think this is pretty darn cool for a small school from little old Helena, Montana.

Addresses?

Did addresses and numbers ever get posted on this site? If so - where? If not - can I get a Wingerter address? If we are going to post this info - is there a way to make this a private blog so that the general public can't view it?
Hope you are all enjoying this week before Christmas.
love

Change-up

So I was kinda getting sick of reading Christmas lists (I'm not all that into lists, just not my thing). So I thought I would give a shout to one of the more impressive dynasties in World History (just a step under the Roman Empire). For the fifth time in six years, your Carroll College Saints are champions of the NAIA football world. I don't care at what level they compete, that is impressive! So congrats to the Saints and all their fans!

Wingys' lists

Sorry Abe. I am blogging over your list, even with a photo! Because if I don't do this while I am thinking about it, I won't get it done till after Christmas!

My wishes are pretty simple and have been emailed to the person with my name. Ditto for Jim.
Ben: Any funny new movies on DVD, sports wear: Bobcats, ND etc, CDs: Gary Allan, George Strait, Kennye West.
Jake: Nike, Addias etc shorts with no pockets size L. Other than that, I don't know!
Nick: ND stuff, Duke stuff, Ipod or CDs (all his were stolen earlier this year), golf stuff (no towel or glove), stocking hat, lounging about pants.
Sam: He likes 70's and 80's rock music, board games, rifle nerf gun, blongo ball game, DVD School of Rock.
Maddie: Bobcat stuff, Hannah Montana CD, High School Musical 2 DVD, Ipod, and wood building kits.
That is the extent of our wishes except to wish you all the best Christmas and most Blessed New Year!!
Love ya

Abe's Christmas

Hey all. Sorry for the lateness, but I have been underwater trying to prepare for a trial. Glad to see all the Christmas list posts. Here's mine.

1. D-Ray and I both like big mugs, simple cool frames for pictures, and cozy blankets.

2. D-Ray likes special teas and dark chocolates.

3. I like Griz shirts. Nate sent me one earlier this year (under compulsion) and I wear it often. Thanks Nate!

4. I like black socks. I wear them every day, and the more I have, the less often I have to do laundry.

5. I like music. I hear you can do iTunes gift certificates, which would be neat. Otherwise, I hear Ryan Adams has a new CD out, and I'd like to hear that.

6. We like visits from cousins and other family members. Come to Chicago. That means you, Gramma!

7. I like family stuff, like pictures of us all and stuff like that.

8. I like candles that make my apartment smell good but not in a really girly way or anything.

9. We like wine and neat corkscrews.

10. I like tools, and don't really have many. Could use some screwdrivers, needle nose pliers, vice grips, or socket set.

11. I like Griz winter hats.

That's all, folks. Wish I could see more of you all this Christmas, and I love you.

- Baby Einstein toys

There is really very little that we need, mostly we just hope that everyone really enjoys their time with family this year and know that we are thinking of you and love you very much.

Calendar

Ok, so I didn't do it perfectly. I forgot Tom and Janine's anniversary (even as their flower girl!) and apparently put Mark's birthday on the wrong date. Sorry on both counts there. Maybe we could get those dates thrown up here and everyone can pencil them in. Also, some of the pics that were emailed to me and some that I took off the blog (because I needed more) turned out kinda' fuzzy. So sorry for that too. This being the first Moore Family Calendar, we've got some trial and error there. We could also call it the 2007 Blog in Review but being that there were some great pics posted this year, that's not too bad. Anyway, I hope I didn't miss anybody else. Merry Christmas. Hannah

Ok, so we've been called out. Our first and foremost favorite gift of all is to see our wonderful family! Come visit! Make a difference by thinking globally and acting locally - really (WalMart sucks...what's that Rainman?). Hope that they isolate the incredible micro-something that is in kangaroo intestine that prevents them from flatulating methane and then administer that to bovine, swine, and well heck...but it in beano.

Mark: Blank CD's, ND or Griz Hat, black socks, blue tooth for cell phone (Krazor).

Nate's List (and a little news)

All right. I don't know if it is against blogger etiquette to post a Christmas list over another Christmas list so if it is I apologize and it won't happen again. I just don't want to keep getting called out by John; cyberspace finger pointing hurts too, you know. Without any further ado:

List:
-Colbert's "I Am America: And You Can Too!" book
-Any interesting new book for that matter
-It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 2 DVD
-Seahawks shirt size L

Also, a little news from Bozeman, Montana. I just finished up my last take home essay test and am one Biblical Lit essay away from being done with my career at Montana State. I am not sad. I am set to graduate here in December and then who knows what the future holds. I should maybe put on my Christmas list a need for any advice on what I should do. I'll work construction here in Bozeman for a little bit until the job is done and then it's job hunting time. Anyway, it feels great to be almost done. I'll leave you with a picture of my roommates and I. We were going to make a holiday card with the picture and send it out but...we got lazy and didn't. Anyway, hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far and I hope everyone has a good one from here on out.

Ann's List

My thanks to John for the help in getting this up (sorry, Abe - I keep losing passwords) First, donations to good causes are far and away my favorite type of gift to receive. My top causes are Helena Food Share (yep, I'm biased), AERO (aeromt.org), NCAT (ncat.org - either ATTRA or their low income projects), Central Asia Institute (ikat.org), Oxfam and Heifer International. I may be outing him but I want to say thanks to Abe for his continuing monthly support of Food Share - it's a huge help!

Secondly, the stuff ideas. How about cool office supplies? I use a lot of magnets (mine are dull), sticky notes (mine are all yellow), paper, desk organizers, highlighters, etc. There's lots of cool stuff for desks. Mine sure can use some help!

The only other thing I can think right now is book by Ghandi or books on Ghandian nonviolence in the larger sense - MLK's writings would also be great,

There ya have it. Merry Christmas season to all...
...and it's been cool hanging out with Molly, too! It's fun having family in town.

Philpot Phun

Ok, so first off the calendars are done and should be mailed out as soon as I get them. These are the people that I believe ordered them: Matt and Kelly, Randa and Nate, Megan and Ryan, Connie and Bill, and Jim and Beryl. If for some reason, you sent me your ten smackers and you aren't listed, let me know via email or this blog. I figured out today that I am actually able to order more copies if you want one but I'd have to charge you $14 to include shipping. (I forgot to add that in before.) Also, Matt, Randa, and Megan: are any of you going to be in Great Falls for the holidays? If so, I'll mail your calendars to Grama's with hers. Otherwise, I'll send 'em all to ya'. Oh, and here are our Christmas lists.

As a family we love good kids books, funky toys, gadgets, games.

Hannah enjoys super smelly candles like cinnamon, lemon, or spice and pretty much anything from Target

Jerry likes cool ties and stocking hats or anything from Cabella's or Sportsman's Warehouse

Mikayla wants Barbie clothes, Barbies, a snow globe, clothes size 9 or 10

Kesiah is requesting Barbies, any kind of horses, Snow White or Beauty and the Beast movie (but I think they are difficult to get), and a real watch

Carter wants the movie Ratatouille, transformers, Gi-Joe's the movie or action figures, a shake and go car and a spiderman arm web shooter

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Love, the Philpots

Jim's Christmas List

I have a very simply list:
Bed, Bath, and Beyond gift cerificate
Dick's Sporting Goods gift certificate
Scheel's gift certificate
Wrangler Jeans 36X30
Dress socks (Black, Tan)
Jigsaw puzzles (1000 piece)
West Wing (Season 1)

Christmas lists?

If you recall, the original purpose of this blog was to create a central web location for family members to post their Christmas lists, plans, dreams, and blah blah blah. Now, I don't want to point any fingers at the laggards ... but I will anyway. Here are the delinquent accounts:

Connie / Bill
Ann
Jim / Beryl
Tom / Jeanine / Nate / Shannon
Mary / Jim / Miranda / Ben / Jake / Nick / Sam / Madison (long list there)
Maurika / Mark / Rileigh / Bridger / Truman
Abe / Desiree
Hannah / Jerry / Mikayla / Carter / Kesiah / Kaitlyn (birthday lists, too)
Briana / Peter / Sabina

Seems like we're moving "closer to coal" unless people get hoppin'

UPDATE: John and Ann will be traveling to Portland for Christmas. We will probably leave on Saturday, December 22. If you want us to transport any stuff out there, please get it to us by December 21.
I just wanted to give a small shout out to nick on his feast day!!! happy st. nick day!!!

love to all

jen

Been a while...

So, I haven't posted in a while and figured it was about time I did. Now if my calculations are correct I am able to post since the last post was Monday and it is now Thursday, is that correct Jimmy? :) Things here in Helena are going well. I am enjoying my time at home with mom and dad and I love being in the mountains. Plus seeing John and Ann is nice, I guess, if you like that sort of thing. ;) Just kidding. It really has been fun. I was able to help out at Food Share when they were handing out their Thanksgiving food baskets, and I am working part time up at my dad's law office as a gopher. I pretty much just file and copy. Kind of lame, but it gives me something to do! I also am finishing 2 of my classes online (which, even being away from school and having more time, I am still behind...how does that work?). I also went down to Bozeman for the Cat/Griz game and watched it on TV at Rory's apartment. I've been able to see Jerry and I was also able to fly back to Sioux Falls for a couple days to audition for next semester's shows. I was glad I got to do that and even more excited when I found out I got the female lead in the show I wanted. It was also fun because I had a 5 hour layover in Salt Lake and Jimmy was kind enough to come and pick me up and take me to his and Beryl's house. I was able to see the goats and chickens and their beautiful home. Hannah also stopped over with the kids and oh my gosh! They are so adorable and so grown up! It was really good to see her. I am really excited to go to Anacortes and see the whole family, except for Ryan, Megs, and Baby Schulte, but that's okay, they'll be allowed back in the family in July when that baby is born. ;) Hopefully I will get to see some of you clan as well! If you're around at New Year's I will be in the booming metropolis of Great Falls! Oh! And, I am really excited to be back because I get to once again take up my post of wrapping gifts for grandma! I love doing that, plus I get to hang out with her and be in her house, which I love both of! So, I will stop blabbing and let you get back to more important things that you should be doing instead of reading the blog. Happy Holidays to you all! Travel safely and I love you all!!
Peace.

Another Christmas list

I don't have a long list. (1) a happy family (think I already have that, just want it to continue), (2) donations to good causes (Helena Food Share, Helena Friendship Center, Habitat for Humanity, Oxfam, IRC, or others you deem worthy) (3) light blue socks (something concrete is helpful), (4) blank CDs (always useful), (5) (I got nothin' here) maybe a nice bottle of Shiraz.

Now ... let's here from the iPod generation. What's gonna make you happy?

Buyskes Christmas list

Okay, Johnny gave the command and I am following it!! We are supposed to put our lists on the blog. I will put the Buyskes:
Marc: sweater vest Lg/Tall - brown, gray; Cabelas or Lands End gift certificate; shaving kit
Jan: Goodwill jumpers - xlg, Bengals hooded sweatshirt; knee high nylons - light brown, purple, red
Matt/Kelly: a good family movie or a game
Jen: cover for laptop; garmet bag for nice clothes; any interesting books NOT dealing with law; Everybody Loves Raymond -
Season 1
Molly: SUV season 5; long sweats (elastic free at the bottom); movies - anything except horror
I have sent the people that have the over kids their lists already, so I think that we are covered. Let's go everybody else. Jimmy, this is the second request for you!!!
Love,
Jan
