Spring in Montana

A little update from the Billings/Bozeman Moores: Shannon and I drove up to Big Timber and met the mom and dad for a little day hike around the Natural Land Bridge State Park. It was a perfect day out as it was almost in the 80's and there was not a cloud in the sky. It was a pretty fun day as we walked around the water falls and took in the perfect Montana Saturday. School is winding down here at MSU and I'm hurrying to catch up from all the procrastinating I decided to do this semester. We have finals next week and then it's summer time and I'll be working here doing the same job I've been doing the whole school year. Shannon is heading back to Billings to work as a secretary/filer/office girl for Hanser's Automotive and she's pretty jacked to get out of the dorms. Well here are some pictures from the Natural Land Bridge and I am going to go make a grilled cheese sandwhich. Hope everyone is doing great and good luck to the college kids on the finals that unfortunately lie ahead.

(Since we were the only ones there at the time we had to take separate pictures so just imagine that we are all together in one group shot... imagine.)
(We were at the park while the water was still low but in high water the waterfall actually falls more than 100 feet and comes off above the land bridge that the water is flowing under in the above picture.)

Dig the Wells Digs

I popped over to Missoula yesterday for a brief visit with Briana and Maurika (along with Rileigh, Bridger, and Truman). Got an exterior view of M&M's new house in the Miller Creek area. Here's shot -- it has a great valley view. They'll move in this weekend, if all goes as planned. The address is 2850 Lorraine, Missoula MT 59803, in case you want to send a card or housewarming gift.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIM WINGY!

Today is Jim's birthday.

I don't think he looks much like a grandpa but here he is holding Emma. Happy Birthday, Jim!

Album Shmalbum

Well, folks, I've been working hard since January 21 to produce an album of 14 original songs. I'm headed to Europe this Sunday, and I hope to peddle a few CDs during the trip. It has been a fun project -- Annie sings on it, and a number of friends have tossed in their prodigious talents. All the promise and packaging will come together on Friday (fingers crossed). Here's what the cover looks like, front and back. Keep in mind, the content is definitely PG, if not PG-13 (adult themes - no violence, very little sex, language is OK, some drug references [hypothetically]). You can enlarge the images by clicking on them.

Anyway, that's my news. I get to visit Briana and Maurika tomorrow, along with Maurika's children. It'll be a brief spot in Missoula before Briana heads back to Portland. Sounds like Maurika and family will take over their new Missoula home this weekend. We hope to see some pictures soon on this site.

America's Pasttime in Beantown

Figured my first post here should be a good one so I'm throwing in a pic of opening day at the greatest ballpark in America - Fenway. Sorry, Wrigley but you're a distant second at best.
And who's this guy singing? Anyone.....Anyone? Hint: It's not Will Ferrell...

Summer

Hey all! I hope everyone is doing well! I am about as good as I can be. The week is getting better as it goes on, so that is a plus. The downer is that there is snow here, but it is starting to melt away and I can see bits of spring start to peek through. I just want to be able to wear shorts and flip flops! Bring on summer!! Speaking of summer... I am currently trying to find a summer job. Right now I am looking for something in Helena because I think it would be fun to live there. Plus, I would get to see my dad and more of John and Ann, who I never get to see. Also, Joey is there and the city seems fun. But, I am really bad at searching for jobs, so if any of you know of anything that is open or people who are looking for someone...please let me know. Also, if you have any tips on where to search on the internet and what to look for, please let me know that, too. Also, I am also looking to maybe see if I could do any advertisement out there (commercial, print, etc.) So, if any of you know any companies that are looking for those type of people or anyone I could contact to ask questions about that, please let me know. Thank you all for your help! Can't wait to see you at the Big Bash '07! Or, as I now lovingly call it, the B.S. Wedding (Buyske Schulte). Love to you all!!

Jake's Future

Hello all. I haven't posted in awhile mostly because there really hasn't been anything post worthy occurring in my life but I do check the blog often to get the news of the family. I have finally been graced with a worthy postable event. This week i finally was able to determine where I will be spending the next four years of my life. The decision was kind of made for me because only one school accepted me but hey whatever I'm in. I will be attending Saint Louis University Medical School in St Louis, Mo. Their mascot is the Billiken which I though sounded like pelican so I was expecting a bird. Rather it is a charm doll created by a lady in Kansas City and named after Pres William Taft. Crazy!! I believe orientation is the first week in August so, sadly I will miss the Moore reunion which I am pretty bummed about. I will also miss the State Fair for the first time in my life, a little less important but sad nonetheless. I will be staying in Bozeman until I leave and will be working on the grounds crew at Valley View Country Club. A little relaxation time before the onslaught of med school.
If there are any relatives or friends in the St Louis area I would love to get in touch with them, so if anyone knows of anyone down there you should let me know. I am excited to head out but also worried on how I will handle being away from Montana, my family and friends. I have always liked the idea that if I needed to see any one of my awesome family members (cousins, aunts, uncles) they weren't that far away for the most part. So that's my life as of April 6, 2007. Hopefully I will see most of you in July at Megs' wedding. Oh and keep my sister and brother in your prayers as their baby's due date has passed and she will be arriving shortly.
Everyone travelling this weekend be safe and Happy Easter!!!

Love, Jake

P.S. Go Billikens!!

Cute Cousins

Grama sent me this picture last year and I thought it was a great one to share of some Moore girl cousins. We need to get Grama on digital now that she has mastered her computer.

Connie's Birthday

It was a nice gathering at the Wingerter's house to celebrate Connie's 60th birthday. Here are a couple photos that don't do justice to the good feelings. Many happy returns, Connie!

Hey all!!! Long time no talk. So these are a few pictures from my recent trip to California. I went to a meet at Stanford, and one day we got to go to San Fran! That was a good time. I would definitely like to go back there and visit when I have more time to explore, that looked like an awesome city!! We got to see the headquarters for Giradelli (sp?) Chocolate, so some of those girls were in heaven! :) Anyway, the meet went pretty well. I placed 6th and threw 134. That distance was good enough to get me on the list to go to nationals, now i have the rest of the outdoor season to work my way up! I am really excited about this weekend because even though we have a meet on Good Friday, mom, Grandma, Megs, and Ryan are all coming out!! It is going to be a fun time!! I hope our weather starts to turn around though, because it is freezing here!!! Also, for all of you who may be wondering, I was wait listed on Notre Dame for Law School, but I got into Gonzaga and MT. Depending on what ND says within the next couple of months, I am looking at attending Gonzaga in the fall, I am pretty excited about that. This is short, but I wanted to let you all know that I am alive and I do check the blog site, so keep the awesome posts coming!!

Love,

Jen
